Chapel Hill police are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 2:30 a.m. on McMasters Street on Dec. 14. They are seeking information on the incident from the community.

Four UNC students residing in the dwelling reported that three black males knocked at their door and then forced their way inside. Victims reported that two of the suspects were armed. The victims were held at gunpoint while items were taken. The suspects then left the premises and fled on foot.
All three suspects were described as 19-22 years of age with slim builds. One was approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches in height while the other two were thought to be over 6 feet tall.
This is the second recent report of an armed robbery of UNC students in the Church / McMasters Street vicinity, the first occurring on November 23. This indicates a serious concern, and law enforcement agencies are asking anyone witnessing suspicious behavior in this area to call 911 immediately.
