UNC beats Boston College 83-60, open ACC play

UNC beat Boston College 83-60 today in the ACC season opener for both teams. Going forward in the season, UNC will only face ACC teams.

The Tar Heels are looking for their 27th straight win at home in the Dean Smith Center, building toward beating its record of a 32 game winning streak set from 1926-29. Tarheelblue.com has more statistics and trivia on the game.

Boston College is unranked, and UNC is number three in the Associated Press poll and number four in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll. UNC has won six of the past eight meetings with the Eagles.
