On this season of ABC’s “The Bachelor,” Emily O’Brien, a UNC PhD student, left her mark on the audience and this season’s bachelor, Ben Flajnik. In the first episode, O’Brien did a rap about her field of study, epidemiology. O’Brien has made it through the first two weeks and is currently one of the 13 women remaining of the original 25.
O’Brien is originally from Charlotte and graduated from Duke with a degree in psychology. She is now a second-year student at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. According to regular “Bachelor” viewers and bloggers, O’Brien is well-liked and is considered one of the front runners on the show.
The show airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Watch this season’s “The Bachelor” online here.

I could not have been more disappointed at the end of last week's show because Ben did not give
Emily a rose and she is so deserving. She has been my favorite the whole time and had envisioned
her getting the final rose and a proposal from Ben. I just hope and pray that the final rose will not
go to Courtney, she is the one who needs to be sent home and if there is any way possible they
need to bring Emily back.
