UNC PhD student on 'The Bachelor' is one of six finalists

UNC PhD student Emily O’Brien was given a rose from Ben Flajnik to send her on to Belize on ABC’s “The Bachelor.”

O’Brien, a student seeking her PhD from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, spent episode six hanging out with Ben and five other women on a group date to a Panamanian village.

O’Brien is one of 25 women that began this experience to seek the love and adoration of one man, dubbed “the Bachelor,” on this extravagant date-filled reality show. The women who received a rose were:

It seems O’Brien may get more alone time with Flajnik in episode seven, airing on Monday at 8 p.m. on ABC as the ladies travel to Belize.
