So you got the email last week with the golden ticket — the Duke ticket — that lets you into the Dean Dome tonight for the greatest rivalry game in college sports. How exactly do you use that ticket? When should you show up?We talked with CAA President Caitlin Goforth, who answered some of our ticketing questions. Here are some basic tips for tonight:

Q: What time is the game?

A: Tip-off is at 9 p.m.

Q: What times do the different phases let into the Dean Dome?A: The time designation for your phase is listed on your ticket, but the phases let in every half hour beginning at 6:30 p.m.

  • Phase 1: 6:30 p.m.
  • Phase 2: 7 p.m.
  • Phase 3: 7:30 p.m.
  • Phase 4: 8 p .m.
  • Phase 5: 8:30 p.m.

Q. Are students allowed to camp out early to get the first entry in their phase?

A. Students are not allowed to camp out.

Q. Will the phase lines be randomized, or does the first person who shows up for a phase get in first?

A. Phase 1 and the riser lines will be randomized at 3 p.m. So no student has incentive to arrive earlier than right before the randomization time. So basically it’s not worth showing up much before 2:45 p.m. After the line is randomized at 3 p.m., anyone who arrives later will be at the back of the line , and it will proceed like a regular line.

Q. What if I still don’t have a ticket? Is there any way I can get one?

A. CAA will host a stand-by line, where we will distribute any unused tickets once the game starts. That line will also be randomized at 3 p.m.

Q. What should people do if they have questions about their tickets or the process? Who should they contact?

A. To get the answer fast, email carolinaathleticassociation@gmail.com, or Tweet @unccaa or @UNCStudentTix.
