The No. 7 North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the N.C. State Wolfpack 86-74 at the RBC center Tuesday night. The Tar Heels improved to 24-4 overall and 11-2 in the ACC, retaining their spot atop the ACC standings. The Wolfpack fell to 18-10 and 7-6 in the ACC.
UNC point guard Kendall Marshall recorded his first zero-turnover game as a starter, leading the Tar Heels with 22 points and 13 assists. C.J. Leslie, who fouled out late in the second half, led N.C. State with 24 points.
